DUE TO COVID 19
Due to Covid 19, there has been a lot of changes regarding Lola de Miguel´s future plan exhibits. The solo show which was planned for May-June 2020 in Greene Street, Soho, NEW YORK, got cancelled, as well as the Group Show Merit scholarship Winner Exhibit 2020 initially planned for June at the Phyllis Harriman Mason Gallery, NEW YORK. Lola de Miguel has therefore decided to take a break from the City, from New York and has temporarily moved to the Alps. In April Lola de Miguel installed a new big studio walking distance from the beautiful mountains. Since then her days are dedicated to Nature, Creativity and Spirituality.
The fact that due to the virus she cannot longer work with recycling material from outside ( office buildings etc), has open new paths. She has come back to acrylic painting on canvas but in very big formats. She dreams to do an open air exhibit or be able to put her paintings in big halls, Industrial buildings, Schools, etc. Museums and galleries may be closed but art should be present. Art and color raises our spirits and specially in hard times like Covid 19 are a good antidote against pandemic blues.

I was seeing my daughter Carmen, interested and active in climate change matters and I felt it was my turn. I did most of the pieces with recycling material, it was hard collecting garbage it is not an easy tasks but it was fun to convert it to art. The show is full of color, of childlike free Spirit. I want the audience to feel conected with the flow they experienced as kids in nature. Mother Earth Love, is about how I feel we should love the Earth and how the Earth loves us. We are connected.
